So much so that we need to wear glasses to be able to do anything.

Visible light wave, when the brighter screen is brighter than your eye can handle, your eye start to dry out, so you feel the urge to wipe your eye with hand, that why sometime you have to wear sunglasses when you do work outside as it block the uv Ray from the sun.
