eli5 How does the inside of an egg gets rotten that makes no sense at all

Basically the title I am just surpised seeing an egg that is spoiled from the inside and looks fine from the outside I mean wtf it should be entirely rotten including the outer cover

The outer cover is like a piece of bone or chalk. It’s a rock that doesn’t rot. But it has small holes through which bacterias can enter or water from the inside evaporate out. An egg rots when the inside is contaminated, faster if kept in a warm location.

It’s the same way your inside can get sick while your skin is fine. Germs got in through some hole in your skin and did damage on the inside. An egg has holes too, just too small to see but big enough for germs to get through
