The stomache does it’s own chemical analysis while food is digesting and the brain keeps track of it’s condition as nutrience are absorbed. If the stomache feels something wrong or if the brain thinks something isn’t right it’ll just assume there’s poison and trigger vommitting. Consequentally, this is how motion sickness works. The brain can’t make sense of what it’s seeing and feeling and assume’s it’s been poisoned.
