Wouldn’t the limited genetics cause weaker offspring? AND is it truly the same species if it originated from the same two parents?

There’s multiple kinds of extinction. Some species are extinct in the wild but not in captivity and can be reintroduced. Also, it’s possible I’m pretty sure to use really old DNA samples like Jurassic Park. The former is probably what happened if you read something though. Also they can be thought to be extinct but just hiding from people somewhere
