Because people/corporations/entities with money only care about their money and making more of it. Theyre not going to “stream money” anywhere unless there’s is a good chance that theyll end up making more money than they gave. Thats called return on investment, and thats what they care about. Not the opportunities of the less fortunate.

First and foremost because people with the money don’t want to just give it up to someone else. That’s the simplest answer.

I’m tired, but I’ll try to answer this.

The comments that say they don’t have skills are wrong. Work, even unskilled work, can produce a lot of value. They just aren’t being paid their fair share.

Companies and people want to make as much money as possible, and there is never enough. They are never satisfied. So they want to pay people as little as possible. They also want lots of starving poor people desperate for money.

This is capitalism. A few rich people, and loads of poor starving people. Add a destroyed planet for good measure.

The American economy relies on having a class of people so desperate they’ll do anything to make it through the next couple months. They are vulnerable and easy to exploit. We build traps to keep people in poverty so they can be bled dry.
