[Eli5] Is it bad do you do sleep very late, but still get enough hours of sleep?

Let’s just say that you go to sleep at 4 am, then you wake up at 1pm and get 9 good hours of sleep. Would it still be bad since you went to sleep really late at 4 am?

Yes. Our bodies “want” to stay within a certain cycle based on what the sun is doing. Night owls have been shown to be at higher risk for diseases like cancer and type 2 diabetes.
