A quick Google search tells me that some stress is normal and even beneficial but long term effects of adrenaline are basically the same thing as high blood pressure which can mean increased risk of heart attack or stroke, anxiety and weight gain as well as headaches and insomnia.

So no, I wouldn’t consider it healthy to sit around and get adrenaline dumps from video games all day. Like everything else, game in moderation.

Keep in mind that heart rate as a measure of increasing your fitness is contextual on getting that heart rate through physical activity. Here, heart rate is metaphor for improving fitness.

The heart jackhammering alone (stress, caffeine) might be working against fitness.
