but basically, our brains are both awesome and terrible at decoding what our eyes see. It has its own image processing algorithms that are not designed for pixels and bits. And while we may not be able to make out the individual pixels, it does affect how it interprets them.

Its likely that there will be an upper bound for pixel density, but it seems that we havent reached it yet. atleast not on 55-65″ TVs up to 8k.

Content made in 4k to be seen in 4k is typically lensed and encoded better in the first place, but that’s not quite what OP asked, either.
