eli5: Losing my sneeze

Question

Whenever I feel the need to sneeze, I always have trouble doing it and it never comes out. This only started today, and I have no idea if it’s normal or not. Anyone know the cause for this?

It only started today, but you say it happens “whenever you feel the need to sneeze”? Which is it?

Either way, sometimes sneezes don’t come. If you are close to sneezing and want to “cross the finish line,” try looking into a bright light.
