If it’s based on IP address, wouldn’t me veiwing on mobile be affected? If I travel and log in through a hotel wifi, do I have to pay extra every month?

Ok what about families with kids away at college/university? They won’t be ‘home’ for months at a time but they’re still a part of the family unit and home is still their permanent address…

Should it be a combination of ip address and MAC address of the device you use for connection? How likely will it be you use your account in a hotel tv or on someone else device?
Think about last time you personally accessed your personal Netflix account on someone else device? I don’t refer to your parents Apple TV, I refer to phones, tablet and laptop.

Let’s all just leave Netflix and sink the stock — Maybe even short it.
I’m tired of these shit streaming services looking to make even more money off their customers. Reed Hastings and swallow a foot long dick right about now.

Wouldn’t it be way easier to just allow an account to only stream to one device at any time? The it becomes quite an inconvenience to account share (especially among many people).

But if you are using tv app (not android app) on different ips, that it not everyday use. That is onlybone of the parameters they could identify you.

Netflix listen very closely. I pay for four simultaneous streams. The location of those streams is none of your business. If I want to watch in Canada and my wife is in the US and my son is on the moon we should be able too. If you restrict me or make me jump through hoops then we shall sail the seven seas.

I use prepaid cards for my streaming service, especially for the ones signed up using a VPN in another country. If they want to try and charge additional fees, they can try. They’re gonna have to remove their gift cards from the app if they want to even have a chance at this.

I use my parents’ Netflix more than they do, since they’re 150 miles away on metered internet and I have fiber. We’ve never had an issue, but I’m willing to guess it’s because they use it so rarely.

I assume it will be more like how they check now to see if you have two logins at the same time.
