Vitamins as in vitamin *additives*? The baseline for that is usually “none”. With a balanced diet the average person in the average Western nation will get all the micronutrients they need from their food.

The daily intake is what matters. Vitamin/minerals intake changes with age, race, gender and your environment. For example, black people need to intake more vitamin D through their diet, because pigmentation affects the production of it. Suplements aren’t needed for most people. you can get most, if not all the micronutrients from your diet.

People take vitamins way too serious, vitamins are very common in all sorts of food and our body does not need a consistent daily amount, and for most vitamins the body is able to store or get rid of excess. As long as you don’t intensely deprive yourself of eating normal food you are never going to experience any of the affects vitamin deficiency comes with.
