They mean that if you buy an entry for $1000 it’s the same weight as if you get a free entry. But if you pay $1000 and get 100 entries then you do get a higher chance.
I suspect that they “recycle” the prizes for other campaigns running at the same time. And they they run for a longer period of time to maximize the number of entries. It wouldn’t be profitable if it was just a week and they were expecting 2500 entries. Also the chances are really slim. If you read through the terms and conditions it’ll give you a lot of information about how how the program is running, how many entries they expect and other details about how they’re structuring the sweepstakes.
