Can I ask where you’re reading about “fast metabolism?” It’s been essentially debunked and most metabolisms are fairly standard.

No. It’s well documented that stimulants can help with weight loss, however they are generally not healthy and not used for that purpose. Any benefits you might get from a decrease in appetite and/or higher metabolism on stimulants are negated by their negative effects on things like blood pressure, neurological/psychological effects and addictiveness. And some are far more risky than others. Cocaine for example is [acutely cardiotoxic](https://pmj.bmj.com/content/postgradmedj/81/959/568.full.pdf) meaning even short term use can cause damage to the heart. Amphetamines are safer which is why they are still used as actual medications but they are not without risks.

Basal metabolic rate can be improved in healthy ways by cardiovascular exercise and increased muscle mass.
