It’d probably help if I knew the term but I don’t even know that. You see it on some toys or things like disposable vapes. You have to pull the tabs or stickers off for the product to operate. What’s it called and how’s it work?

Electricity needs to flow in a “circuit” to work – it needs to go from one side of the battery, through whatever you’re using the battery to power, and back into the other side of the battery. If you block one side of the battery, then the electricity can’t flow.
