I mean, you don’t remember every single detail of your life. Your brain decides what’s important and tosses the rest, sometimes you forget stuff over the years (sometimes over a couple of minutes) and your memories change and condense into smaller less detailed versions of the same events. Sometimes they even change completely like two people will experience something but remember it slightly differently. The human brain is much more complex than any hard drive. This isn’t really an explanation, just wanted to point out depending on how you look at it sometimes your brain will “delete” or “compress” memories to make room for other stuff.
