eli5: The Concorde could travel at a cruising speed of 1350mph, the Earth spins roughly 1000mph. If the Concorde matched the speed of the earth exactly, how high would it have to be to stay in roughly the same spot?

It would never stay in the same spot because the atmosphere is moving with the planet. For it to stay still, you’d need a windy day with 1350 mph winds, which is impossible. The highest recorded wind speed at altitude in 267 mph.
