Eli5 the difference between 3D VR and 360VR ? Which one is mote immersive?

I’m guessing this refers to video recorded in such a way that it can be viewed with a VR headset.
In that case 3D would refer to capturing a stereoscopic image with two caneras side by side. This can be done with a viewing angle of about 180 degrees in front of the viewer and the effect will be stronger in the middle because the cameras never move.
360 would refer to video captured with an array of cameras pointed in every dirrection. With footage like this the viewer can look in any dirrection they want but there won’t be any depth because it’s all from a single point of view.
