Eli5 the over /under in betting or on the NFL and what it means I’ve thought about those sports betting apps but I don’t understand betting and would lose my shirt.

For the ravens vs Steelers it’s 38.5. So if the Steelers score 20 and the ravens score 17, that’s a combined 37, that’s less than 38.5, so people who bet the under would win. If the ravens score 27 and the Steelers score 20, that’s 47, so people who bet the over would win
