Neo pronouns are replacements for he/she, him/her, etc. that attempt to encompass the less binary interpretation of gender we are developing.

While the specific pronouns are still very much in flux, their usage is simple – you just substitute the neo pronoun for the historic pronoun. So, for example, if someone wanted you to use the non-gendered pronoun “xi” to describe them, you would say “Xi went to the store” rather than “(S)he went to the store.”
