Pulse is how many times your heart is beating a minute. When you feel a pulse you’re feeling blood in an artery that just got pushed from the heart. The upper number in blood pressure measures the amount of force your heart exudes when it pushes blood out of it. The lower number in a blood pressure is how hard the arteries in the body resist against the blood that just got pumped from the heart. That’s why the lower number is very concerning when it’s high. Because it means generally the arteries are not very pliable and non-pliable arteries are culprits in heart disease and strokes.
