So, I got a panoramic x-ray today to see if I need to get my wisdom teeth removed. I saw the person tapping various things on the screen of the machine to get everything set up and I noticed there were two buttons at the bottom for male and female and she selected one. I’m curious what someone’s sex has to do with getting an x-ray. If someone’s sex for whatever reason does affect the way the machine takes x-rays, why didn’t she ask what my sex was considering there are many people who simply don’t look like their biological sex?
