Eli5 What does the uF stand for on a capacitor? Is bigger better or smaller?

I have a very basic understanding of electronics and stuff and I want to know more so I was wondering if anyone could help me with this question?

uF stands for microFarad which is a unit of capacitance. A capacitor’s capacitance is the amount of electrical charge it can store for every volt between its plates.

That’s kind of like asking whether a 3 liter soda bottle is better/worse than a 1 liter soda bottle. It depends on the usage.
