Eli5-What does VRR mean for Xbox Series X and PS5?

Should I turn this on if my TV gets 4k but it also doesn’t get 120hz? Will it make my games look worse cause I haven’t actually noticed any tearing or anything or even too much stuttering.

If your TV does not support VRR then there is no point in turning it on. VRR stands for Variable Refresh Rate. Instead of the TV displaying a constant 30 or 60fps it can adjust and do exactly what the console is providing it.
