[ELI5] What happens to a fish which gets swallowed by another fish?

It suffocates and dies before being digested. There’s really nothing more to it. If it’s swallowed whole rather than torn apart before being eaten it ends up in stomach where it can’t breathe.
It gets digested. The animal will be dead before it reaches anywhere it can do damage, but there are some species of animals that can burrow their way out of a predators stomach.
Basically it would be like a human eating a whole fish if humans could digest bones and things.
