eli5 what is a catchweight fight in boxing? i get that they agree at a certain weight but isn’t that all fights? do they not always agree to fight at a certain weight class? help me please

Fighters cut weight. Sometimes some fighters can’t cut weight properly & make the required weight. So both fighters come into agreement, for whatever reasons, to fight at another weight category. Hence it’s called “catch weight” bout.
