Amoeba are small, single-celled animals. They move around and live and eat stuff, same as we do. They often eat bacteria.
That’s pretty much it lol.
Some amoeba can be harmful and pathogenic to other animals — for example, “brain-eating” amoeba that gets into human brains via our sinuses. When they get up in our brains, they’ll start eating our neurons instead of bacteria. But that’s just one example of a harmful amoebic infection.
