Usually used in the context of coordinate planes. It’s called an ordered pair because it’s a pair of numbers in order. Kind of self-explanatory lol.

In all cases I’m aware of they are ordered (*x,y*). If I had the pair (3,4) you would go 3 in the x axis and 4 in the y, and that’s the point the pair refers to.

An ordered triad would just include the z axis to make three numbers referring to a point in 3d space.

An ordered pair is two numbers in a specific order. (1,5) for example, is a different ordered pair from (5,1). Triad is 3 numbers.

An ordered pair is a set of coordinates on a 2D plane. The X and Y axis have graduated values and your ordered pair ex. (7,8) points to a dot +7 from 0 on the X axis and +8 from zero on the Y axis.

An ordered triad follows the same concept but in a 3D realm with an additional Z axis for depth.
