Typically food poisoning is when a type of harmful bacteria or fungus is growing on the food you eat, or the food contains the toxins left behind by these microbes, and you consume this tainted food. some of these microbes or their toxins survive the trip into your gut and can become infectious or poison you. Many of the aforementioned toxins also survive the heat of cooking, which is why spoiled food can’t be fixed by cooking.
The spores and a few small live amounts of these microbes are found even on fresh food and everyday objects, but proper storage and eating the food within the time frame before it spoils vastly reduces the chances of these microbes reaching a big enough population to cause problems. The symptoms of food poisoning is the damage inflicted by the microbes or their toxins and your body panicking in reaction to it and trying to purge the threat.
