It is a style of acting where instead of controlling the body intentionally trying to move all the right little muscles in the right way the actor focuses on controlling their emotions and then let the body react to those emotions just like the character would. Method acting and traditional acting is usually not that transferable skills and requires completely different coaching and training. However method acting have become far more popular as it is easier to get great results with it then traditional acting. The problem is that it is usually more mentally and physically exhausting for the actors to method act. And it can be hard to get the exact reactions the directors want from the actor.

Essentially, it’s a style of acting that some actors use in which they “become” the character they’re portraying in posture, mannerisms and behaviour, and then stay in this character until and throughout filming in order to give a consistent and lived-in performance
