NAP stands for Non-Aggression Principle, and it is the concept that states that *aggression,* the purposeful initiation of force or violence, is morally wrong. It generally does not proscribe forceful defense of self or property, and is generally the hallmark (when given in those words) of libertarians, anarchists, and minarchists.
