Eli5: What is the need for transparent flesh, strange illuminated spots on body and visible electricity running around the body, in some deep sea fish?

Transparant flesh makes them less visible for predators, they don’t reflect light as much.
Illumination aids fish in finding food since there is no natural light. Basically a self powered torch.
