Eli5 what our body does with the byproducts of breaking down sugar

The byproducts of breaking down glucose is CO2 and water. I know what they do with the CO2, but what do our bodies do with the water? Does it keep it? If so could eating breaking down glucose hydrate us to some degree?

you breathe it out as water vapor excrete it through urine or it just stays in your body because your body needs water to function.
