I’m new to reading up on economics and just genuinely trying to get a better sense of how things work.
What I wanted to know is if anyone can give a good explanation, or provide recommended reading to help me understand the answers to the following questions:
1. Where is the money created in britain? ( I don’t mean the royal mint or physical money, I mean which is the greatest source of wealth creation in britain? The govt.? Private companies? Investment banks? Foreign wealth?)
2. Where does the money go? If possible, I’d be really interested in a breakdown. I.e how much goes to individual savings, how much back to the govt., how much into assets etc.?
Thanks, and please let me know if I’ve made any mistakes with my understanding of anything or the premise of the question. Just trying to learn how my country works!
