eli5: Why are certain sensory inputs pleasing, and some aren’t?

Beautiful paintings are pleasant to look at. Harmonised chords are pleasant to listen too. Fluffy fur is pleasant to touch. Without going into how we process these specific inputs (not 100% sure but think i know that bit) is there a more general/zoomed out reason why these please us on a fundamental level?

Also pls add psychology flair 🙂

Generally our senses are tuned to detecting patterns. Noise is thusly considered obnoxious. Complex patterns are pleasing and intriguing.
