ELI5, Why can seemingly every animal run faster and for longer than humans?

Animal run faster than human. But human go longer than animal. Human sweat help run longer. Animal no sweat so animal must stop to cool down
I’m fairly certain that humans are exceptional in the marathon category. Sure plenty of animals can run faster for short distances but humans make up for it in shear longevity. We run slower but for a really long time.
