The cells of our brain are still developing, and the connections between our brain cells are also still developing. These connections are required before we can form memories. This process takes years to properly complete for humans, which is why most people don’t remember their time as a baby.

I don’t think your eyes are open inside the whom. Someone more qualified can tell you more but from what I understand you’re submerged in fluid the entire time. You can’t really see or hear anything because you’re suspended in the fluid and your eyes can’t physically open.

The eyes bit I’m taking from knowledge of other mammals with how it takes them potentially days before they can open their eyes (don’t have massive experience with babies really)

We didn’t see anything in there, and our brain probably wasn’t developed enough to process experiences and form memories. Even if we could form memories, we would forget them shortly after, like what happens to every person until they are about 4 years old.
