Different voltage/amperage/something.

You’re not plugging in a washing machine, like you’d plug a washing machine into a standard outlet. You don’t need that kind of power in a car, usually.

And if you did need to plug in a washing machine, then the electrical system of the car, and the battery, wouldn’t really be sufficient anyway.

The car-plug has a different voltage/amperage/whatever that is made for smaller devices, that need less power, and won’t overwhelm your car’s electrical system.

Fun Fact: Some newer EVs include 240v/50hz or 120v/60hz standard domestic sockets powered via inverters from their main battery for use as Mobile power banks.

I understand others can be used as grid batteries providing power back to the grid on demand via external inverters.
