I feel like most animal species only have one, like possums playing dead, but humans have all three and it depends person to person which one they gravitate towards.

For one thing, they dont have just one. They have all three too, but they only use one at a time. Humans are pack animals. In packs, it’s more advantageous to use as many strategies as possible, since one of them will always work.
Many animals have multiple. Possoms hiss, false charge and bite.. But when that fails they play dead.
Most animals, humans included need instinctual resources tucked away for when all else fails. These facilities keep the body alive when the other senses become overwhelmed and cannot function cohesively… And the body needs a few options depending on the situation
