Women have facial hairs! They tend to become more prolific and darker as women reach menopause.

Women do have facial hair, but society generally discourages them from having/showing it, so we normally bleach and/or remove our facial hair regularly

Women have facial hair. It’s just lighter and thinner than make hair. Testosterone drives hair growth on the face. After menopause many women experience more facial hair – especially corner of the mouth mustaches and chin hairs. Women you experience various hormonal disorders or diseases like PCOS can have a lot more facial hair.

I’m a woman that has PCOS and I have to pluck my whiskers and it’s pretty painful usually. Most women also have a light layer of fur on their faces but it’s very thin and not very noticeable at first. Men with lower testosterone levels have less facial hair, too. Hormones, genes and vitamin levels make for different amounts of hair throughout the body.

But why is testosterone the driving factor of facial hair? Why were it more beneficial for men to have more facial hair?
