eli5 Why do Romance Scammers often use soldier’s profiles to make victims in social media more like any other occupation?

The intriguing thing is why they choose soldiers rather than other occupation like a scientist, a model, a businessman or a doctor which could theorically attract a wider range of victims?

Soldiers can be suddenly deployed far away. This gives scammers an easy excuse when they need to avoid meeting, or even communicating with, their victims.
