The intriguing thing is why they choose soldiers rather than other occupation like a scientist, a model, a businessman or a doctor which could theorically attract a wider range of victims?

My reasoning is these guys who pass as soldiers on social media and dating apps to scam women are not very intelligent. As far as I know soldiers are not so well paid to the point that most women would be willing to marry them because they are rich. Is that right or am I missing things?
