Your nose doesn’t like things going into it since in connects to the lungs. So the hairs inside are very sensitive and anything like powder or grain that might hurt your lungs triggers a sneeze.

It’s just that it’s a fine powder. Seasonings usually have fine powder/particles in them.

Breathing fine powder/particles into your lungs is bad. So if your nose detects such particles coming in, it triggers a sneeze in self defense to blast them out. This is a self-preservation reflex that has saved enough of your ancestors over millions of years that evolution made it a thing.
