I saw a video once of how a razor blade starts getting dull after just one shave. It doesn’t seem like it should be the case if it’s literally just cutting hair.

Technically to some degree no matter what using a knife like device at all will dull it to some amount. Razor blades are typically thinner than your average knife and so break down much quicker
Although on the other side of things technically yes it does start getting slightly duller after the first use but realistically most people can make a sort of mid-range razor from the store last like 2 weeks or more before It has been dulled enough to really cause any noticeable issues. Unless you are like insanely hairy
