All drugs, more or less by definition, alter your body chemistry. Recreational drugs generally alter your *brain’s* chemistry.

Turns out chronic drug use can make permanent alterations to how your body’s chemistry.

In the case of marijuana; there’s evidence to suggest chronic use alters your brain to make your more impulsive, although it’s somewhat hard to measure because impulsivity is already correlated with drug usage.
