The bumps are calcium deposits. I don’t know if it happens to wild bird eggs, but I assume not. They find their own calcium sources and probably regulate it better than domestic chickens who are given fortified feed, and sometimes additional calcium (usually in the form of crushed oyster shell). Sometimes eggs are soft, which means the hens need more calcium, sometimes they have bumps, which means they have a little too much. It’s not harmful though, to humans or the hens.
