ELI5! Why do the macros in Nutritional Facts not add to the total weight of what’s being reported? What’s the rest made of? (example in the description). Thanks

For example, i was checking the nutrition info for Bologna Slices and it listed the following info:

Per 2 slices (55g):

Fats 9g, Carbs 4g, Protein 7g, Cholesterol 50mg, sodium 490mg, potassium 100mg, iron 0.75mg

The total is around 21g, well where is the other 34g (55-21), what is that made of?

Thanks

Nearly all of the rest is water. Obviously this doesn’t apply to foods you find that are dry like a cake mix, although you will usually see 2 different nutrition lablels. One for the package contents and one for the finished/cooked dish.
