[ELI5] Why do we feel better after throwing up?

Title, like I usually feel so much better as soon as it’s done. Why is that?

Your body says, this is bad get out or we will have more problems, problem removed…all good now the real question as a first responder is… why does one throw up when extremely dehydrated and suffering from hyperthermia? That never made sense to me because that is some of the bodies liquid reserves getting expelled.
