There are a lot of blood vessels in your nose, so too much strain due to things like picking your nose, sniffling, or blowing your nose can cause the blood vessels to rupture and bleed. Some people have more blood vessels closer to the surface, so, like me, you can be prone to nose bleeds. I don’t know if other animals have this issue, but our noses are somewhat unique compared to other animals.
