eli5 Why does hand sanitizer make my hands feel like they’re breathing?

The alcohol in the sanitizers evaporates very quickly (much quicker than water), it absorbs heat from your hands and leaves it colder than your normal temperature. This might be a familiar feeling to cool wind blowing on your hands, that might feel like breathing maybe?
The sanitiser contains alcohol to kill bacteria and germs. The breathing feeling is the residual alcohol evaporating off your skin.
I’ve found I have this sensation only when using hand sanitizer after using lotion. Maybe some kind of reaction?
