Eli5: Why does store bought “movie theater popcorn” not actually taste like movie theater popcorn?

Firstly: while the ingredients may be roughly the same, the proportions are not.
Secondly: maybe it does taste like the popcorn of a certain movie theater. You would have to compare the popcorns of all cinemas to know for sure. And not just in your country.
Fresh popcorn (almost anything, really) tastes different to their packaged variants.
